I sold my first book through my website 😀 Woo hoo, very excited and also quite relieved that I added the Paypal button correctly because I hadn’t a clue what I was at. A customer at work just asked how my writing is going, gulp!…. I have been asked that a lot lately, particularly this week. I give the same answer to all enquiries which is ‘Slow, good days and bad days.’ Then feel so bold for not novel writing at all this week so far. I’ve done lots of other writing things though and this website is taking up loads of time while I try to get it right. So, the title of my second novel is…..drum-roll…..The Azure Window and here is a photo of what will eventually be on the front cover;

Very excited and nervous to be writing my first blog. A nod to Daphne Kapsali, http://daphnekapsali.com/ (fabulous writer) who has a fantastic blog and fair play to her for updating it regularly. I can’t promise to do the same. Being me I would normally promise to do so, then not do so, then feel terribly guilty and have to eat lots of chocolate or buy something I’ll never wear on-line to feel better. So, best thing is if I just don’t make promises, I promise I won’t keep.
My website is just a few days old and as you can see needs lots of work. Any advice will be gratefully accepted (or is it greatfully?) Feeling a bit too lazy after a busy day at work to check spelling. I cannot imagine who would read this blog, or why? But in case somebody does, Mum?, I feel I better write something.
It wasn’t a very exciting day. I was at work, a Visitors Centre, which hosted a training seminar which meant myself and my lovely boss (nod to you if reading), made a hape of sangwiches and soup and had to be very very quiet all day so we wouldn’t disturb them. I hate being quiet. It’s so stressful to have to be quiet. But, we got lots of praise for our ‘sangwiches’ and no complaints about noise or my dropping noisy things on noisy tiled floors. It was the stress of being having to be quiet!
Then I went to Tesco and after three attempts to scan, take of taggy thing, smooth out a crinkly fiver, I gave up and put back a checky red shirt thing which I really didn’t need, or like!
Talk tomorrow, I won’t promise, but I will try 😀
